Summer is off to a great start...
with two awesome momstown picnics!!
Last week we had a Teddy Bear Picnic - the kids brought their favourite stuffies for some fun in the park. We all enjoyed picnic lunch, then had some fun with bubbles, the parachute & duck duck goose. We boogied down to some Teddy Bear songs, and finished up with some fun in the playground.
We wound up June with a Canada Day Potluck Picnic - hosted by our honorary Canadian for the year, Vanessa.
The food was amazing - including Mandy's fabulous Maple Leaf Nachos & Brenda's awesome Canada Cup Cakes!
Lunch was followed up with some play - a soccer game for the older kids & some park time for the little ones.
We all had a blast & made some new friends too!

momstown had a great time this month when we decended on Exelta Gymnastics Club in the Collicut Centre for their discovery drop-in mom & tots class!
I think the mom's had just as much fun as the tots - running, chasing, tumbling & flipping.
We finished the day off with a dive into the foam pit... this was alot of fun, but much easier to get into than out of!

Bring On Summer!
Let's face it - summer is too short here in Alberta, so we need to embrace every last minute or it!! Even when the weather doesn't fully cooperate with us!
We kicked of the season last week with our first Ice Cream Social of the summer. Even though the sun didn't join us, the kids burned off some energy after supper with a good hard play in the park followed by a sweet treat to end the day!
This week we hit the beach for some fun in the sand & a picnic lunch. There was a cool wind coming off of the lake, but that didn't stop the kids from jumping right into the water!

The kids had a blast and the rain didn't stop them from playing in the playground after we were finished our crafting!

Going Buggy!
momstown Central Alberta celebrated all things buggy on Thursday at our monthly craft theme party. It was raining outside, but inside we were in our own little world of bugs! We started off with storytime.
Followed, of course, by some crafts - what would a momstown party be without crafts? We made some cute little bugs & a house for them to live in.
We wrapped up the day with a buggy snack - mmmm, cupcakes!
