I grew up in Calgary and lived there until I graduated from High School, then attended Red Deer College for 2 years and then ventured off to Edmonton to complete my studies, Since then I have lived back in Calgary, Montreal and now Red Deer for the past 9 years.
Since returning to Central Alberta, I have experienced firsthand how difficult it can be to meet other moms of young kids. I sometimes have felt that I am back in the world of dating with awkward introductions and requests for ‘play dates’. I know that I am not alone in this – which is why I am so excited to join momstown in Central Alberta and help to connect local neighbourhood moms. I was delighted to find a group for moms and children that emphasized so many of the things I believe in: the importance of community, the benefits of early childhood education, and the value of play. There will be plenty of opportunities to connect with other Central Alberta moms as we get together for play groups, parties, picnics, moms nights out, field trips and much, much more. So jump right in, I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
