November 2013 it was sponsored by Scholastic Canada and we had a great time as a chapter voting on which book out of 6 choices we were going to read!

momstown Central Alberta chose Amber House by Kelly Moore, Tucker Reed & Larkin Reed. A Mother and Two Daughter team!
Here is a short recap of the book.
After her grandmother passes away Sarah convinces her mother to stay a few extra days in Amber House. She discovers that she can see visions of the houses past, and the many secrets the house holds. She becomes very close to 2 local boys and quickly learns their families are very intertwined. Her visions take her into the messy history of the house while she tries not to lose herself and the person she cares most about.
momstown Central Alberta members loved being able to have a say in which book we got to choose, and it was a very close vote between Amber House and Inhuman, with it being a tie, and then the tie breaker coming down to ONE VOTE!!
We also love an excuse to get together, share some snacks, laughs, great conversation about a book we really enjoyed as well as perhaps a glass or wine or two for those of us who ARE NOT expecting!
