Summer is short and sweet in Central Alberta. Already I can feel the Autumn wind
and we haven't officially ended summer just yet.
So it was a perfect time to plan our end of Summer Family BBQ. The book end to our event we held at the end of May, just before summer officially arrived!
It was a potluck style event, and roasted hot dogs were our main course! We were lucky enough to snag the covered BBQ area, and the people before us were nice enough to leave some hot coals for us, so very little work on our part to get the fire going again!
It was great to relax with husbands and kids of members on a lazy Sunday afternoon, and the kids played and played, so much that they were all in bed by 7:00pm!!
We have vowed to do this more often next summer. the time of 3-5:30 is perfect, the company is great and the kids going to bed early, well that is just an unexpected bonus for the parents!
