At momstown Central Alberta, moms and kids meet for our monthly craft event, momstown Monet, This month in conjunction withour Fire Truck theme we created Toilet Paper Roll Fire Fighters!
The first thing we needed to do was color our fire fighters, this took a lot of time and care! And who knew so many uniforms had pink and purple in them? (wink)
Then came the cutting and gluing... this was a long process. For some kids longer than others. But as we have learned recently, learning to use scissors is an important skill that preschoolers need to learn, so us moms needed to use our patience, and then we *might* have helped trim some of the edges after...
Then of course it was time to play with their creations... and unfortunately, I don't think one made it home in tact... but that's OK! The kids had a great time, and the fact that they played with their creations, makes it an even more successful craft day!!
