Alphabet Play: O is for Olympics!

What a better time to celebrate the London 2012 Summer Olympics, then during all the action!

This month at momstown Central Alberta's Alphabet Play program, moms and their kids focused on the letter O.

Patiently waiting for the story to begin
Chapters Red Deer hosted us, and we read a great book about the
Olympics called G is for Gold Medal.
A great way to learn about the Olympics and all of the alphabet!

Story time. G is for Gold Medal

Then of course it was craft time.

Craft time! We are using the letter O to make the Olympic Rings!

Moms helping the kids with their crafts

We made FIVE O's in the colors in the Colors of the Olympic Rings and then put them together!
The kids love this program, and learn so much!
Letters start to make sense when they read about them, focus on a word that start with them, and then of course when they make their very own letter craft, it all starts to come together for them.
My daughter is now seeing "O's" all over the place!

Do you like it?
Look what I made!
Chapters Red Deer hosts our Alphabet Play program every month.
